I’m currently in Battambong, Cambodia. The province where my dad was born in. It’s so peaceful and quiet here.. It’s actually kind of relieving because the bigger provinces are loud and crowded and polluted. Kind of like New York city in a way. I’ve met a lot of family here, even though it was our first time meeting each other it was so nice to see them. They were filled with happiness and love, reminded me of being back at home. It feels like I just landed here; my family standing there to greet us with open arms. I haven’t been homesick yet which is good, maybe because I’ve eaten so well here with the fresh fruits and mouth watering stir fry and soups and of course, the weather too, tropical and hot. I can’t believe week 2 is almost over.. I’m starting to really fall in love with this country. It’s a beautiful feeling.
+I’m currently in Phnom Penh which is the capital city. I’m surprised I’m not as home sick as I thought. So far the hospitality has been so great and the People here are very welcoming and full of love.
+You and me:
the trees loved their leaves
and the leaves loved falling
and the clouds loved their rain
and the rain loved falling
and the universe loved its children
but the stars love
falling
+I’m baking a cake for class today and waiting for it to cool. While I’m waiting I decided to eat a big spoonful of the frosting. I regret nothing.
